Tri-State Velo

Adrian lined up for the Men's Cat 3 race by himself in a field of teams. The field started off at a fairly easy pace until the first hill when Adrian tried breaking away with a Louis Garneau team member, but they were reeled back in after 10 minutes of chasing. One guy made a counter attack, then two more; Adrian waited to see if the group would chase...but everyone seemed to be not very concerned, so Adrian went on the chase. Once he caught up with the other two, they worked for the next 15 miles to pull the single guy back into their chase group. Once the four of them were together again in a breakaway, they put some time on the gap between them and the field. On the set of climbs starting the second lap, Adrian and the rider they had chased down, dropped the other two in the break and pulled away for the rest of the race. At the very beginning of the final 2 mile climb, Adrian dropped the other guy and pushed the pace up the hill for the win.
