TSV Elite/Espoir Men's Team Update by Mike Attie

The season has barely started for some of us, but the TSV Elite/Espoir team has already picked up some impressive results. Many of our riders are now competing for their collegiate teams. Riding for Marian College, Jon Royal won the criterium and placed 4th in the road race at Lindsey Wilson College. While racing in TSV colors he also got an impressive 4th in the Hueston Forest Road Race. Doug Fagan, who also races for Marian, won the Purdue University Crit. In our region we have Adrian Gerrits, captain of the University of Pennsylvania collegiate cycling team. Adrian has been placing consistently in the top 5 in his events, including a 2nd place at the Tour de Centre County Criterium and 3rd at the Lehigh Mt. Top Criterium.

Based on his results last season Chris Wilson was invited to the Cycling Center in Belgium. There he has been competing in Kermesse's and various UCI events. Chris describes it as a trial by fire: constant suffering and loving every minute of it. Keep an eye out for his diaries posted on the team's blog. Chris will be in Belgium until early June and will be returning to PA after nationals in July.

Finally, the PA contingent made their debut at the Philly 2-Day. In the overall Neal Stansbury took 4th and Rich Kloslinski finished 8th. TSV riders featured in nearly every attack on both days of the event and rode as a team.

The members of the team would like to thank all of our sponsors and the members of Tri-State Velo for their generous support.
