Tri-State Velo

2005 Tri-State Velo Elite/Espoir Team Roster The Tri-State Velo Elite/Espoir team is back for 2005. The Tri-State Velo Elite/Espoir team is back for 2005. This year we are keeping our core roster and bringing on a few more riders. The goal for 2005 remains the same: to further develop young riders into competitive elite racers. The team will focus on U-23 Nationals in Park City, Utah. In addition we plan to compete in regional NRC and Pro, 1,2 events such as the Murrysville Road Race, the New York City Invitational and the Univest Grand Prix.

Keep an eye out for the "abridged" squad at local races in the coming months. Many of the riders will compete for their collegiate teams until late May and then returning to the PA area. Chris Wilson took a semester off from school to race at the Cycling Center in Belgium and will return after U-23 Nationals in July. (Keep an eye out for his diaries on this site.) We are proud to announce new sponsors for 2005. Bicycle Therapy (Philadelphia, PA) has supplied the team with Bianchi frames, Giro helmets, Carnac shoes, and Hutchinson tires. Returning sponsors are: Amoroso's Baking Company, Victory Brewing, Valley Sports & Arthritis Surgeons, grants from the Pennsylvania Cycling Association and Carpe Diem Promotions, Voler Team Apparel, and Tifosi Optics sunglasses.
