JBN Criterium, Bethlehem, PA - July 12, 2009
Dateline Sutton, Quebec, Canada, 6/27/09 - Despite three rain-soaked, back pain ridden stages and a very tough field here at the Coupe des Ameriques Stage Race, I am pleased with the results, so far.
The following is TSV’s Junior, Tom Schubert’s account of the Bethlehem Crit on Saturday, May 30 and the Bob Rodale Fitness Park Criterium on Sunday, May 31, 2009. . .enjoy:
Here is the final start list for the event tomorrow.
I'll be sending out an email later today to all registered participants with some final information on parking etc.
Thanks to all that make this event worth the effort. I appreciate your continued support.
Well it was a wet one today in Philly. But another great result for the 55+ men's team. Chris Hepp got his first win "ever" with a really heads-up strong ride in the 45+-55+ combined race.
Sutton, Quebec – 4 - 6 July, 2008- I love and dread this event. This was the nineteenth time in twenty years I have come to the Coupe des Ameriques Stage Race. I’ve come to Sutton one time just to ride and share this beautiful area of Quebec, twice when I was too injured to ride and sixteen times to race. This year I came to compete.
My apologies for not posting this sooner. But this report is from TSV Cat. 2 racer Justin Woulfe on his recent efforts at the infamous Fitchburg Longjo Race. It should be noted that former TSV junior / espoir standout, Kyle Wamsley, won the Pro / 1 event riding for Colavita / Sutter Home. Enjoy.
We thank everyone that came out to support the race on Sunday. Although some fields were a little light in numbers, the racing was still very exciting and aggressive. I would like to send a special thanks to Gary Lakatosh, who does great job promoting and running the event, Dave Miller from the Big Guy Group for sound and results and all the USAC officials who ran a great event.
Here are the results from the 2008 Philadelphia Time Trial in the Senior Women's Category. Results are broken down for Cat. 1/2, Cat. 3 and Category 4 Women. Racers not categorized or ranked were non USAC licensed riders and not part of the series.
Thank you to all of the competitiors and volunteers who made the 2008 CSC Manayunk Hill Climb and the 2008 Philadelphia Time Trial a rousing success. A special thanks to Jerry Casale of the Pro Cycling Tour for his continued support of our club and its efforts to promote quality racing within the city of Philadelphia.
